Design Briefing

To transform an office, based on the top floor of one of the tallest buildings in The Netherlands, into a prestigious presentation office for a major Dutch construction company.

Select Walnut flooring in random widths-lengths was chosen for the entrance areas to create space and luxury. Installed on plywood and bonded to rubber-cork acoustic insulation to reduce impact sound, the boards used in these sections exceeded the length that could be carried in the elevator. Walnut was used again in the office sections and a solid strip of Wenge formed a wide border pattern around a luxurious bright white carpet. The floor was finished with a matt high-traffic, water-based polyurethane, to create a sensation of light.
