All woods used to make Ebony and Co floors come from the rapidly-renewable timbers native to the north-eastern region of the United States. They are supplied by thousands of small private landowners who are fully committed to this long tradition of sustainability. Our practice is to visit each supplier, identify individual trees suitable for our production methods and quality standards and to acquire such logs, without any clearfelling being involved. Our foresters ensure we fell only the appropriate logs that meet the exacting standards of proper forestry management, while fully complying with our clients’ requirements. It is not only the interests of our environment that encourages our concern for the manner with which we produce our floors, but our conviction that future generations should continue to enjoy the beauty of our natural products.
