The deep rich dark tone of Walnut is brought out in the traditional way by our hand-applied tung oil, sealed with a wear-resistant satin lacquer. Tung oil was used by the Chinese thousands of years ago to protect and show the depth of the wood patina. This finish is beautiful on a wood selection with some variation in colour and character, such as sapwood and knots. A truly timeless finish both in wide plank or traditional parquet patterns.
