Coastal villa in the French Riviera

The peaceful bedroom boasts a Continental Oak Clear Grade floor in fixed width and naturally connects to the similarly toned outdoor terrace decked in a weathered silver-grey african mahogany.

  • Project:

    Villa, France

  • Floor:

Continental Oak Clear Grade planks in fixed widths (24cm), finished with Faded Silvergrey Natural Oil.

  • Terrace:

Rift and quarter sawn African Mahogany planks, naturally weathered to achieve a silver-grey tone.

  • Design:

    K-Architectes, Switzerland

Over time, the terrace clad in African Mahogany planks will achieve a silver-grey colour tone.

The bold and balanced design gestures by Swiss K-Architectes does justice to the villa’s exclusive location in the south of France.

The silver-grey character of the villa’s ceiling is in perfect harmony with the rift and quarter sawn African Mahogany exterior decking. Its silver-grey colour tone is a natural consequence of sun exposure.

Also the wet areas are given optimal comfort and distinguished quality with exclusive wooden flooring.

Nature plays a big part in the quality and appearance of the perfect wide plank flooring.

Wood plays a big part in this interior’s narrative. Being surrounded by precious natural materials in the middle of nature evokes a sense of belonging and oneness.
