Choice and Grading

Whether the floor requires a minimal character, or a beautiful rustic country character with fine knots and heart cracks, the final result will always look pure, genuine and never fabricated.

Continental Oak

Mainly over 80 year old growth European Oak (Quercus Robur) from responsibly managed central continental European forests. We are able to craft exceptional wide and long planks in this specie.

Continental Oak Fusion

Mainly over 60 year European Oak (Quercus Robur) from responsibly managed central continental European forests. Widths and lengths are limited and this selection has a bit more growth character.

American White Oak

Mainly over 80 year old growth American White Oak (Quercus Alba) from responsibly managed forests in the Northeastern States of the USA. Compared to Continental (European) Oak, our American White Oak is a bit warmer in tone with a slightly finer grain.

True Bog Oak

Our True Bog Oak is reclaimed from logs that have been mineralised for thousands of years in wet boglands without oxygene. We believe this wood offers the most precious and subtle dark patina nature can offer. The blend of black-brown and dark grey-greenish hues comes out best with our Ultramatt Hardwax finish.

American Walnut

Mainly over 80 year old growth American Dark Walnut (Juglans Nigra) from responsibly managed forests in the Northern Midwest States of the USA. We pride ourselves on finding the finest choice for plank and pattern flooring available in the industry.

Continental & American Ash

Mainly over 80 year old growth Ash (Fraxinus Excelcior) from responsibly managed central continental European and American forests.

American Maple

Mainly over 80 year old growth American Sugar Maple (Acer Saccharum) from responsibly managed Northern American and Canadian forests. Though very hard and dense in structure, our Maple is a very light coloured wood with soft grain flow. It can be further bleached almost to white.

Douglas Fir

Mainly over 100 year old growth Douglas Fir (Pseudotsuga menziesii) from responsibly managed forests. Very long and wide planks are possible in this wood.

Hickory

Mainly over 80 year old growth American "true" Hickory (Carya) from responsibly managed Northern American forests.

American Cherry

Mainly over 80 year old growth American Cherry (Prunus Avium) from responsibly managed Northern American forests. This red-brown wood is suitable to craft very refined and classic flooring, both in planks and patterns.

Wengé

Wengé (Millettia Laurentii) from responsibly managed forests in Western and Middle Africa. A dark and hard wood with strongly pronounced grain structure.

Reclaimed 'Antique' Woods

Choose from our "Antique" woods, carefully reclaimed from old American barns, mills or homes. The boards we cut from old beams, floors or sidings, tell us the story of forgotten times.
